The following fixes/changes were made for Duke Nukem v1.1:
- Crashes and "script errors" on startup have been fixed. Your "con cache" file will automatically be re-built the first time you play the updated version, but shouldn't need to be rebuilt again unless you use new or different con files.
- The game no longer leaves the sound quality setting for your mac set to 22khz on quit. It now restores the original setting.
- 3+ player network games over Appletalk and TCP/IP are much more reliable.
- You can now have Duke automatically switch your monitor resolution when it starts up. Set this option in Graphics Options.
- Crashes when loading some 3rd party maps have been fixed.
- A sound bug that caused a gradual loss of channels was fixed.
- Incorrect "out of memory" errors are no longer displayed if you try to start the game while the config file is open in another application.
- Turning on/off Adult Mode in the Parental Lock dialog now correctly adds/removes artwork from the game without requiring you to quit and start again.
- Conflicts with 4 button Kensington mice have been fixed. To set up the extra buttons on your mouse to act as keys in Duke, make sure you use the "Custom" configurations for each key in the Kensington control panel. To do custom setups, hold down the "option" key when clicking on the popup menu for the button you want to assign a key to. Then select "Custom" from the menu, and enter a line like the following:
1[KeyDown(A)];2[KeyUp(A)]
Where A is the key you want to be sent to Duke when you press that mouse button. Make sure to put the key in both the KeyDown and KeyUp messages.
